Spirulina Nice Cream πŸ’šπŸ¨

People who say that healthy food can’t be tasty and delicious have clearly never tasted raw vegan banana nice cream! It’s one of my favorite dish to prepare especially now that Summer is close and the Sun is shining bright, so today for lunch i made some nice cream and took it to the next level by adding a magic ingredient: spirulina.Β πŸ’ͺ

You’ve probably already heard of it, since it’s known as a powerful superfood. Spirulina is an algae and i know that it might sound crazy that i used seaweed to make nice cream, but trust me, this was extremely tasty and satisfying to eat. It feels especially good to eat delicious, sweet food when you know that it’s also healthy. Eating in a positive mindset and knowing that what you’re eating is good for you will bring many benefits not only to your body (digestion for starters) but also to your spirit, as it will be charged with positive vibrations.Β πŸ™πŸ’•

To prepare this i used:

  • 7 frozen bananas
  • 2 regular bananas
  • 1 tbsp of spirulina powder
  • 4 dates
  • 1 tsp coconut oil (optional)

For the toppings:

  • cacao nibs
  • banana slices
  • hazelnuts
  • almonds

All you need to is blend all the ingredients together and ta-da it’s done! Nice cream is incredibly easy to make, incredibly delicious to eat and it’s also healthy and nourishing! It’s a win-win you guys, so you must try it! You can use whatever type of (frozen) fruit you want and add bananas to make it thick and obtain that “ice-cream-like” consistence. Remember not to use water or to add just a splash only to help your blender run smoothly.

The seaweed flavor of spirulina will be overpowered by the sweetness of bananas and dates, but you will still absorbΒ all the amazing benefits that this superfood contains! ItΒ helps detox heavy metals, it eliminates candida, it boosts your energy, it helps with weight loss and it’s rich of nutrients such as iron, beta-carotene, A and B complex vitamins and so on. I really recommend incorporating this amazing food into your diet; to me it’s especially helpful when i’m going through stressful periods (all caused by exams and university lol).
