I have some problems digesting green smoothies made with leafy greens because of the cellulose contained in them that on one hand helps you stay full and satiated, but on the other hand is more difficult to digest, especially for someone like me whose organism is used to simply digesting fruit. Because of that you may have noticed that i only use baby spinach for my green smoothies as they’re more delicate and easier to digest. So what do you do when you want to get all the amazing nutrients contained in leafy greens but you have a hard time digesting their fiber? You juice them! 🌱
This smoothie is simply amazing because:
- it’s packed with vitamins and minerals such as iron and calcium
- it’s good for digestion
- it’s refreshing and detoxing
- it’s delicious!
To make this you will need a slow juicer, i have this one, which is not the best in the market but it’s a good product for a good price.
To create this blissful smoothie i used:
- 400 gr of spinach
- 8 bananas
- 2-3 dates (optional but they add sweetness)
- a pinkie of ginger
All you have to do is juice the spinach first and then put the juice is the blender together with the other ingredients. Blend it up and it’s done! Super easy, super nourishing! I also added hemp seeds and some shredded coconut on top because i always love some coco on my smoothies & hemp seeds have countless nutritional benefits!
This smoothie would have actually been better in a jar rather than in a bowl since it’s very liquid because of the green juice, but all my jars were full of dried fruit and such so i had to stick to my bowl. lol 🙈
Remember that nourishing your body means nourishing your soul. Take care of yourself and love yourself. Give this smoothie a try to give your body and soul a sweet treat and let me know what you think about it! 💘
P.S. unfortunately i’m in a rush today because i have an exam tomorrow and i still have to study a lot of stuff. Wish me luck angels! 👼💕🌸
